Why Choose Bidirectio
Built for BMW and Mini owners
The Bidirectio BMW & Mini OBD2 Bluetooth Adapter is a specialist vehicle diagnostic tool created for drivers who want more than a basic generic scanner. It helps you read fault codes, monitor vehicle data, clear supported codes and access coding functions through compatible apps such as BimmerCode and BimmerLink. If you want a dependable bmw obd2 scanner without stepping into an expensive subscription-led ecosystem, this is the sweet spot.
Smartphone-first convenience
This obd2 bluetooth adapter pairs quickly with iPhone, iPad and Android devices using Bluetooth Low Energy, making it ideal for driveway diagnostics, workshop checks and quick fault finding before a trip. Instead of carrying a bulky handheld device, you can use your own phone as a code reader car solution with a familiar app interface and wireless freedom.
From fault finding to hidden features
Use it as a car fault code reader for warning lights and stored errors, or step up to enthusiast-level coding on supported BMW and Mini models. Depending on vehicle and app support, you may be able to customise convenience settings, lighting behaviours, digital displays and other hidden features. That makes it more than just a car trouble code reader - it is a practical tool for personalising your vehicle as well.
Better value than the obvious alternatives
Compared with ultra-cheap dongles, Bidirectio offers clearer BMW and Mini positioning, stronger app compatibility guidance and more dependable day-to-day use. Compared with premium options such as a carly code reader setup, it gives many owners a simpler and more cost-effective route into smartphone diagnostics and coding. For UK drivers who want a capable code reader for cars without dealer-level costs, it is a smart choice.

Customer Reviews
Bought this for my BMW 320d after getting an intermittent engine light. It paired with my iPhone quickly and worked brilliantly with BimmerLink. I was able to read the fault in minutes instead of booking into the dealer.
I wanted a proper bimmercode adapter without spending Carly money. This one connected first time on Android and let me code a few handy convenience features on my Mini. Small, neat and feels much more dependable than the cheaper dongle I had before.
Very impressed with the Bluetooth Low Energy connection. No dropouts while scanning, and the live data was smooth enough for checking temperatures and battery readings on my BMW. Delivery was quick too.
Excellent little adapter for diagnostics and fault-code clearing on my Mini Cooper. The only reason it is not a full five stars is that you still need to make sure your chosen app supports your exact model, but the hardware itself has been spot on.
Used it as a car code reader before an MOT because I had a warning pop up. Cleared the issue after replacing a sensor and saved myself a trip to the garage. Much better value than the branded premium options I looked at.
Really handy if you like doing things from your phone rather than using an old handheld scanner. It is compact and works well with BimmerCode on iPhone. I would have liked a printed quick-start card in the box, but setup was still straightforward.
I compared this against a Vgate-style adapter and went for Bidirectio because it looked more focused on BMW and Mini. Glad I did. Stable connection, good app compatibility and it helped me check fault codes on my 1 Series without any fuss.
